Product Description Guitar is 38 inches in length and come with Steel Strings. The guitar has Linden Binding and wood construction with geared tuning. Each guitar comes with an extra set of steel strings, pick, tuner, gig bag and strap. The Steel String Acoustic Guitar is perhaps the most versatile and common guitar type. The Steel String Acoustic Guitar has a loud, bright ringing tone that clearly projects to the listener. This type of guitar is the backbone of most country and bluegrass bands. It's perfect for backing a singer and its stylistic palette encompasses everything from New Age and Country Blues, to hot Bluegrass flatpicking, jazz fusion and "unplugged" rock. Tuning Pegs are made of Brass and Steel for easy tuning and to keep the tuned string held in position.

$29.99 acoutic guitar from Amazon May 29, 2010 Henry C. Van Acker, Jr. (rouses point ny) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The guitar arrived on time via UPS. I wasn't home when it was delivered (it was at the apartment door).
The cardboard case was damaged and the guitar had a 1-2 inch scratch on the side of the neck. I filed no claim because the instrument:
1. remains in tune,
2. has excellent (unexpected) resonance,
3. neck is straight, and,
4. I am going to convert it into a resonator.
It is about 38" long, slightly less than standard.
Even if I wasn't about to make the conversion, I highly recommend the guitar, particularily because to the surprisingly rich sound. It also works well for bottleneck slide
If I could have found a broken, usable guitar for the conversion, I'd leave the $29.99 as is because it is certainly worth the price. I sorta hate to cut it how (but it just occured to me that it will sound very good as a resonator also.
Beautiful & Classy Look! February 3, 2010 Valdese (Tennessee) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Perfect guitar for a beginner & great price. The color & finish on it makes it look more expensive than it is. We did re-string it & purchase a different tuner for it because my husband kept breaking the strings! My daughter loves it & said it reminds her of Taylor Swift's guitar, which in her eyes is a definite plus!
Worth every penny. August 3, 2010 E. Johnson (Somewhere in Colorado) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am astonished at the quality of this 'cheap' guitar. I got it to learn on and though it doesn't match the sound of my Takemine - I love it.
I have not yet broke a string but it came with a spare set plus an instruction book in pdf form, a strap, plus two different pick guards and a lightwieght gig sack plus one of those pathetic pitch pipes. I use that to harass the wifes parrot.
It stays in tune a long time, and I have dropped it a few times with no damage. Its a nice looking guitar too. The body is small so the tone is a little shallow but I do like the neck. Its easy to play for me.
My son has played bass for 7 yrs, is in a band and has started playing accoustic also and even he is impressed at the sound this $30 guitar makes.
Great Beginner July 2, 2010 M. Stone (Tennesee) This is a great guitar if you have a child who is interested in playing. Alot better quality for the price. I checked at our Local-Walmart and there was nothing comparible at all for the price... It was a Birthday Present for our 8 year old daughter and she loves it!
Exactly as advertised - just right for beginner August 24, 2010 Miranda Lloyd (Colorado, USA) The guitar came quickly, which was a real plus. My daughter (13) is using it to take beginning guitar class, and so far, it's working quite well. The E string broke already, but according to the teacher, that's pretty common. All in all, a good deal for the price.
